Policy Development

The process of reviewing any existing policies, which pertain to business values, service and product quality and total business excellence is facilitated in conjunction with a Steering Committee consisting of senior management and interested parties.

Business strategy is compared to related policy and the results used to amend the documents which provide the organisational direction. This process is also used to create a detailed understanding of a formal Management System within the Steering Committee. The requirements of appropriate standards to which the organisation aims to comply and the related guidelines are clarified. The approach allows for a meaningful Policy Manual to be developed.

The Policy Manual contains generic statements applicable to all areas controlled by the formal Management System. Furthermore the document defines authorities and responsibilities of key personnel within the organisations structure. This document is the corner stone of the system and is intended to provide all personnel with an understanding of Management’s desires with regard to management of the business and the expected outputs with regard to quality of service and products supplied.
